MedicQuant has been selected for blended finance support from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator.

The support includes a €2.5 million grant under Horizon Europe and the possibility of up to €4 million in equity investment from the EIC Fund at a later stage.

The funding will support the continued development and clinical validation of MedicQuant’s rapid apixaban test for acute stroke care. In stroke emergencies, treatment decisions must be made within minutes, and access to clinically relevant apixaban levels can support more informed treatment choices.

The EIC Accelerator supports European start-ups and SMEs developing high-impact innovations with the potential to create new markets or address major societal challenges.

MedicQuant is pleased to receive this support and to advance its technology towards clinical use.
